Advisory Board
The Raymond Mhlaba Agricultural and Rural Development Agency has an Advisory Board that provides Strategic Leadership and oversight in ensuring that the vision of the Agency of eradicating poverty is realised, the Advisory Board has the following members:
1. Dr Eugenia Kula - PhD in Corporate Governance Unisa, MBA Oxford UK, Bcom Honours, Bcom Fort Hare University

Dr. Kula is a Strategist with an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Strategy and Doctorate in Corporate Governance. She has significant Corporate Governance and Strategy development experience and has served in six (6) SOEs, two (2) Private Boards and is currently Board Member of the Estate Agency Affairs Board in the past 10 years and 20 years in NPOs. She is very passionate about Transformation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy, and Development. Strengthen with Government, Commercial, Retail, Board experience and leadership in World Class international companies. She is an independent, pragmatic strategic thinker and decision maker who is engineered change processes in SA. Eugenia is a multi-skilled pro-active pioneer who thrives in starting up new things, has general management skills –managed Rm budgets, HR, CRM, projects.

Having travelled to 33 countries globally and 22 of those in Africa for business and tourism, been part of BRICS mission in Brazil but a patriotic African. She is a published author and has featured on TV, radio and magazines (especially property related and transformation topics).In 2016 she represented South Africa on the CSW 60 in the UN, presented on Women Economic Empowerment and She is also a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.

2. Mr Mlungisi Mama - Mcom, BCom Hons in Agriculture & Economics Stellenbosch University, Bcom in Economics and Management Rhodes University, South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM) - Dealer

Mr. Mama is a research consultant specializing in general economic research, financial services, FMCG’s and agriculture as Head of Research Analytics at Alexandra Forbes, he has developed a vast network and knowledge from his early days at Investec, Tiger Brands and the Public Investment Corporation as a Research and Business Analyst.
He has extensive experience in conducting thematic research, Conduct industry and sectorial analysis on growth prospects, developing/evolving global and local themes and trends, Development of economic and financial models and prepare research reports from data and information at his disposal.

3. Mr Phakamani Ntombela – N Diploma in Agriculture & Animal Production, Cert in Brahman Judging Owen Sithole College of Agriculture, Cert in Primary Animal Health Care University of Pretoria, Cert in Farm Record Keeping, Cert in Dairy Production KZN Department of Agriculture

Mr. Ntombela has a career in Agriculture that spans over 10 years specialising in Animal Production (Beef, Lamb, Poultry), Crop & Food Production, Agricultural Research, Farm Management, Technical Support, Training, Herd management, Pasture & Veld Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Animal Nutrition and Fodder, Planning, Feedlot Management, Livestock Vaccination, Marketing, Logistics, Export Management, Stakeholder and Operational Management, He is a Member of the African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA).

4. Mrs Mmakgosi Mosupi - Masters of Business Administration (Unisa), Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Durban Westville and a Diploma in Structured Computing.

Mrs. Mosupi is a Chief Information Officer with over 17 years’ experience in Information technology, business strategy and growth goals. She is also engaged in analysing, identifying, and re-engineering existing business processes, developing new tools, and reshaping the current enterprise infrastructure and IT governance frameworks. In addition, is instrumental in overseeing the development and maintenance of our clients’ IT architecture in terms of project management, business support systems, user support, information, applications, technology, and data.

Mmakgosi previously served various roles at parastatals and government institutions, such as the State Information Technology Agency (SITA), Gauteng Department of Health, and the South African Post Office. Within SITA, she mastered a variety of skills, from monitoring financial performance to the developing strategic relationships and creating an ICT service delivery strategic plan. Prior to working at SITA, she had acquired technical knowledge of installing, customizing, and maintaining storage management software, as well as managing system backups which led to her subsequent strategic roles.

5. Mr. Godfrey Mongatane CA (SA) – Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSc) University of Limpopo, Honours Degree Accounting and Charted Accountancy University of Johannesburg. Mandela Washington Fellowship, University of Nebraska – Lincoln United States of America.

Mr Mongatane is an Internal Auditor who is a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of South Africa and a Charted Accounted with the South African Institute of Charted Accountants who has over 10 years’ experience in Internal Audit having worked for the Auditor General of South Africa for over 6 years as a Trainee Auditor, Audit Manager & a Training & Learning Manager, He is currently running his own Audit, Tax, Accounting, Advisory and Management Consulting Company.

6. Advocate Avhatendi Nephawe – Bachelor of Law (LLB) University of Limpopo

Advocate Nephawe has a career in the legal sector over a 10 year period specialising in both Criminal and Civil Litigation having worked for Legal Aid South Africa. He has vast experience in Road Accident Fund Claims, Taxation, Legal Research, Legal Drafting of Documents and Corporate Finance he is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.

7. Miss. Ncumisa Mduma - N Diploma Marketing Border Technikon, B-Tech Marketing Border Technikon, Skills Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator – EDTP SETA
​
Ms Mduma has a career in Marketing and Business Management spanning over a 18 year period as an independent Consultant and Senior Lecturer at Walter Sisulu University Marketing Department where she has been the head of the department and the programme co-ordinator for experiential learning 7 training working with various Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) under the Department of Higher Education. She is a creative and astute academic and she is currently busy with her Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from the Witwatersrand University.
